The Canadian Dental Association recommends a first oral health assessment by your baby’s first birthday or within 6 months of the eruption of your baby’s first tooth. By bringing your child in for regular six month check ups, small problems can be caught early. We assess your child’s teeth for proper eruption patterns, cavities, infections and jaw development. We can work on preventing problems and making sure your child’s dental development is progressing well. Your child’s teeth are important not only for eating, but also for proper speech development, and growth.

It is our goal to establish a caring and trusting rapport with your child during their first visit. We make dentistry comfortable for your child by making it a fun and positive experience! Using child-friendly terminology we build confidence and trust between your child and our team. Our staff members at Dentistry in Meadowvale Village work hard to overcome your child’s anxiety. Having their pictures on our “cavity free wall of smiles”, visits to the treasure box and playing video games in the kid’s corner make coming to our office fun.
